About the Founders
Meet Michelle See
Michelle is a country girl from Indiana who wears lots of hats, including farmer’s wife, music teacher, mother of a two year old, adoptive mother, and licensed foster parent! One of her favorite hats is being Giving Hope’s co-founder. Michelle chose the name Giving Hope because she strongly believes that “as long as a child is breathing there is still hope” and we are called to GIVE each child HOPE. Michelle has a huge heart for parents who have premature babies and babies who are in the NICU (Neo-natal Intensive Care Unit). She serves as the secretary for Room for Grace International and serves on the board for Voice of the Orphan.
Michelle is the US Director for the creche and is glad to answer questions about the adoption process. She has become an expert in the creation of dossiers and will be happy to lend her insights to families as they work to gather their information. You can contact her via email at GivingHopeHaiti@gmail.com
Meet Heather Elyse
Heather was born in California and has lived in Oklahoma and Indiana. She graduated from Bible college and has served as a children’s pastor. By the age of 26, she was working on her seventh adoption as a single mom! She has also fostered over 30 children, and is passionate about writing and video production.
Heather is a co-founder of Giving Hope and leads the Haitian side of the ministry. Heather has a huge heart for abused and terminally ill children. In 2011 Heather created a hospice care program for babies in Haiti, named after her late mother who battled cancer.
Heather and her children currently live in Haiti as missionaries. They love traveling, speaking, and bringing awareness to the community on adoption and orphan care. You can follow her family’s journey at InvadingHaiti.blogspot.com
These families are missionaries and volunteers who refuse to take a paycheck. It is through their commitment and generosity that Giving Hope is able to make adoptions more affordable. In light of that, your patience is greatly appreciated when contacting them.
